Description
Although the three pictures are separate, a common motif connects them: the branches of a cherry tree that extend across all three parts of the picture.
The work explores the question of what can connect people and things despite spatial or external boundaries. The branches of the cherry tree form a connecting element, turning the three individual pictures into a cohesive whole.
At the same time, the work shows that connection can also arise where separation is initially visible – through a frame, a wall, or a landscape. The focus is on proximity and distance, the idea of overcoming boundaries.
The original work "Connection" was part of the exhibition "Connections" by the Bobingen Art Association in June 2024.
