Description
The tiger meets the viewer at close range. Its face takes up almost the entire canvas, leaving little room for anything else.
The motif shows the tiger as both powerful and calm. Its alertness and impressive charisma are particularly palpable due to the proximity.
The portrait is part of a series of big cats and complements the works Puma and Cheetah. Each work stands on its own, but in the interplay of the series, it develops an overarching engagement with instinct, expression, and presence in the animal kingdom.
