Two horses stand very close to one another, their noses almost touching. A moment of focused presence and profound awareness.
Although the painting may appear calm, an electrifying tension can be felt. While the two horses are physically extremely close, emotional closeness is something much greater and more difficult to achieve. Trust, security, and connection must first develop. The few centimeters between the animals symbolize the transition from restraint to intimacy.
